my 1997 bravada has a humming noise under car and wont accelerate speed like its slipping. in neutral i hear a light whining noise. it goes in gear but wont gain speed

have a trans pro run a scan on the transmission. he can physically check it out to see if something is wrong with it. Make sure it is full of fluid though. if it is brown an dnot red that is not a good sign.
