I have a 97 Nissan xe pickup and my vehicle is running rough and reading a code of P0180 (fuel temp sensor). I noticed my mpg's dropped from 24-12 and was wondering if this sensor could be the cause of all my problems.
brought the truck to a Nissan dealer and they said to not worry about the problem. that it was the intake gasket replaced the gasket and the vehicle still runs rough and still giving the same code. I have brought this vehicle to other mechanics and none of them were concerned about the code (p0180). one of them mentioned that all his readings were coming back a little slower. I should also mention that this truck was also in a crash before all these problems started.
