1997 xke nissan pickup. starter turns over slowly a couple of times and stops. tryed again, starter relay clicks. then doesn't click any more. battery checks good. head lights and instrument lights are ok. starter replaced 3 years ago at a nissan dealership. i think the starter relay might be bad but i don't know where it is. charlie

If the battery and connections are good-could be the starter motor overrunning clutch is slipping,clutch switch and ignition switch or the theft warning relay

took it to the shop when i couldn't find the starter relay. the starter was bad. i replaced the starter 3 years ago so the rebuilt ones are not as the original. whatever though, the pickup is running again. i had to park it on a hill when the starter wasn't working. 263 total to get it repaired. thanks for the help though. charlie
