run bad after rain

my 1997 nissan frontier runs roughly after a heavy rain and the service engine light comes on. After warming up for 5 minutes it runs normally . After it dries out the service eng light goes off. Any ideas

look at the dist cap, rotor and wires. as they get wet, they short out and cause miss fires.

Check for trouble codes. They would lead you to the circuit/component that is being affected by the rain.
