how do i drain my radiator on my 1997 mitsubishi montero ls . My truck is in need of a cleaning as the antifreeze looks like mud and the truck is over heating . I will replace my thermostat after i drain the system and use new clean antifreeze .

just pull the lower hose off as it won't get that junk out form rad drain as it to small. you should really have the coolant system pressure checked for a h ead/intake gasket leak however. If it's like mud then it probably has oil in it. and radiatior if still in good condition should be rodded out.
