Overdrive problem on a 1997 eclipse

I just got done doing a engein and tranny swap from a car that I was driving every day and drove just fine. I put that into a car I just bought cause it had a blown engien. But now the car won't shift into overdrive.I bypassed the overdrive button at the shifter and still nothing.
