My van just started making this thumping noise (sounds like its coming from the rear when driving)

while driving on the highway, my van started making this loud thumping noise,sound like running over something but nothing was there. you can feel the little***** when it does this thump, its mostly sounding like the rear of the van, but have felt it in the front also.
