How do I change my purge valve?

I can't find it in the Hayne's Manual and my father whom was a mechanic and raised me working on cars recently passed away. This is my first time with this issue. I've tried looking it up online, no luck. I can change it myself if I'm told how, I can't afford to go to a mechanic. I'm good at working on cars, I've just never had to do this before. My check engine light is on and I need it inspected. Please help.
