97 jeep wrangler wont start unless u run hot wire from battery to coil

this could be a blown fuse.you have lost ignition between the switch and the coil. trace ignition feed from ignition to ecm from there to the coil.normally this is a fuse but not always possibly a bad connection at the bottom of the power distribution box or fuse panel. this prob won't be easy to find. but you just have to follow the power until it stops then try and determine why it stopped. hope this helps feel free to reply if i can help

it started when i had a dead ground which i fixed that . i am sure the injector aint working either unless the wire is on there and i had the computer check it was fine it just seems were ever it is is between the switch and computer

yes that is a possibility. usually it is not but an easy to test is connect test light to coil pos side turn key on ,move key switch sligtly forward see if light comes on and goes back off light should be on on run and start position. sometimes the switch will get worn and power the ignition at the wrong time.this could also be a power distribution box failure.
