a warning light on my dash saying :anti lock has just come on and is staying on, its never been on before, can you give me any ideas what it could be, and is it safe to drive the car still.

have the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic computer to locate the cause of the fault

it could be that your brake accumulater that little nitro ball mounted on right side of firewall could be bad.they are good for abt.10years.would have diagnosed first through.if its making a cluck noise from around the black nitro ball when you touch your brakes it could well be the brake accumulator.
