My mom bought a 97 rodeo as a last resort for a ride. well it was idling really high so i took a look at the throttle body and it was all gummed up so i cleaned it out and it seemed to idle just right. well its got some really bad ticking and i think its the lifters and i aint ever replaced hydraulic lifters at all. and i was just wondering if anybody knew any cheap fixes to make the ticking noise stop without having to replace the lifters or if i need to replace them at all.
