just started today after it had rained and snowed

i have a 97 hyundai accent and the brake and battery lights on the dash stay on while im driving. I dont know if that could/would effect it?

As far as the battery, check to make sure the belt is tight and working properly. If the light is on, have the alternator and battery tested at a parts store. Most will do it for free. As far as the brakes, make sure the brake fluid is full. If it is, have the computer scanned to identify what trouble code is stored in the computer. Most parts stores will do it for free too.
