turn key nothing????

I have a 97 Sierra with a new motor. It also has a new vortec spider which Ichanged for a MAFI. iIt has a new starter, battery and ignition. the problem is when you turn the switch the dash lights work but NO ignition. No leaks or anything.

is there power to the coil?? starteter?? could be abad ignition switch.

is the check engine light lighting up??
