Sierra truck, two wheel drive, 240,000 kms.
I have replaced the fuel pump three times in the last two years. I have changed the sending unit and the exterior connections. I have check and changed the grounds. I have also tried different makes of fuel pump. The fuel pump has now not working again. I cannot figure out why I am still burning out fuel pumps. Does anyone has the same problem? Any suggestions? Please

More than likely, you have a restriction in the fuel line like a filter issue. We need to start with checking the fuel pressure and that will help determine next steps.

However, if you don't have a restriction in the supply line then you have a restriction in the return line. When you have a restriction in the system it causes the pump to over work and it ends up failing.

Basically, if you have not changed the filter then you need to start with this and then check the pressure. If the pressure is high, then you have a restriction in the return line, and this is going to cause the pump to fail as well.

Please see the info below on this and let us know what questions you have.
