1997 Geo Prizm poor fuel economy

I notice recently my car is using too much gas, I change the oil often 3000 miles, what could be the problem? I usally fill the tank up once a week now I have to fill it every four days.

If your check engine light is not on, then it could be a bad injector, higher than normal fuel pressure or a leaking fuel pressure diaphragm. Pull the vacuum hose to the FPR and see if it has gasoline in it. If so it will need to be replaced.
