Whenever I'm going gearing down or braking I feel a big thump in my rear end like my wheels are going to lock up, or whenever I'm braking I feel a thump underneath and its scaring me and I'm wondering if its going to ruin my truck more if I drive it the rest of the week to work, I started my truck this morning in the cold and drove it in first and than put it in second and than back down to first and the wheels locked up and than I drove it again and I keep feeling this thump whenever I'm gearing down or braking, what could it be ?

Have your joints checked and wheel bearings. it may be internal to axle as well but check those first.
