How to tell if the PCV is bad or good ?

I have an issue with my ford probe which has started recently smoking too bad (White + Blue smoke) reading here and there i ended up with Either the piston rings or the PCV or both are bad. how do i inspect for a bad PCV on ford probe 2.0 ?

There is no test you can perform for a PCV valve. It's a $5 item, just replace it and make sure the vacuum supply to it is good and not leaking.
