truck wont shift from park

I just replaced my steering column shift tube assembly on my 97 ford f 250...but if i start in park it wont shift but i can start in neutral and then i can shift... what did i do wrong?

Replaced with same year/model? is brake pedal being depressed and key in RUN when moving from Park?

yes replaced with same year/model ... brake is depressed... key is in run position...if i put key in acc position i can shift to neutral and start truck and then shift into drive.

i found the problem i accidentally unplugged the neutral safety switch on the brake pedal

That will do it would not get brake pedal depressed signal
