I developed a problem about 2 months ago. I stopped and turned the truck off and it wouldn't turn on when i turned the key on. So I thought to shift the truck to nuetral and it fired right up. So I did this for a few weeks until I could replace the neutral safety switch. Now the truck still won't start until you shift it to nuetral(linkage is off now all gears are one spot off.) And a metal part sheared off the other day when I put it in park. This is a metal piece Ford # F20C-7E400-AA. Sounds to me more like three problems (or more), than just one now!!!!

Fix what's sheared off and adjust the linkage then inspect/test the digital transmission range sensor at left side of transmission
