can you tell me if its my hub bearing that needs to be replaced?

i have a 97 ford explorer 5.0 engine and when i drive my car it makes a really bad grinding noise and popping sound. when i try to stop it grinds really bad to and feels like it doesnt want to stop but its only on the driver side. i had this problem before and it was my hub bearing but that was a while ago i was wondering could it be the same thing now?

Could be the wheel bearing again and also have the brake on that side checked-To include wheel looseness and excessive play, raise that side and check-pull on it
