I have a horrible squeak with my explorer. It started about two years ago and has gotten worse. I think it has something to do with the suspension or steering. If I am stopped or drive real slow and turn the wheel it squeaks. When I hit a lot of bumps it also squeaks. I know the squeak isn't a belt squeak or squeal. It sounds like it could be a dry rubber bushing rubbing against metal. Can anyone please point me in the right direction of what this squeak might be. Thank you.

try spraying grease on ottom of spring coils it may be just the springs making noise also if you have any grease fittings make sure that hey are getting grease a lot of times they don't.

Thanks for quick reply. The explorer doesn't haven spring coils, it has one of those independent front suspensions. I have searched, listened, and shot grease/oil everywhere I would think that noise it coming from and still it persists. Another thing I have noticed is that in the winter time, the squeak is barely noticeable, but in the summer (like now when it is hot and dry) the squeak is 10x worse.
