My transmission is sticking in 2nd gear?

My car is sticking in 2nd gear. engine revs really high then doesn't shift. flushed transmission twice. check engine light is on. code says it is torque converter, but mechanic says it sounds more like solenoid pack. please advise.

it's in limp mode and has an internal problem not a solenoid pak

I have seen the turbine input shaft speed sensor cause this, but can I ask if the speedometer is working? Here is the location of the sensor so you can check it out. Check out the images (below). Let us know what you find.
