well i have a 1997 doge pick up truck and a few days my battery discharged cuz i left the fog lights on ...i recharged it using my buddys battery and wires so i could get to work ..but know every time i slow down to 5mph or stop my truck keeps turnig off..i dont know was wrong with it???? should i buy a new battery

Why a battery? It's starting fine now. Drive it. Whenever the battery is disconnected or run dead, the Engine Computer has to relearn "minimum throttle" before it will know when it must be in charge of idle speed. To meet the conditions for that to take place, drive at highway speed with the engine warmed up, then coast for at least seven seconds without touching the brake or gas pedals.
