idles real low then cuts off

When i start my 96 suburban it idles real low then cuts off i have to start it at least twice,also the 40 amp ignition fuse blew twice in the fuse box next to the engine.It was also jerking when driving

You need to trace the short circuit that blew the 40 amp ignition fuse-before you can figure out the idle, stalling and jerking problems, could be the alternator.
