Will a 2000 chevrolet impala 6 cylinder engine fit into a 1997 chevrolet malibu that also has a 6 cylinder engine? I have a 1997 chevy malibu with a 6 cylinder engine that I would like to put a 2000 chevy impala engine that also has a 6 cylinder engine. Will that engine fit into my car?

yes, as long as they are both a 3.1. you will have to change many of the external items but it can work.
