PCM location?

Hello,

The PCM is located on the passengers side under the hood. Here is a diagram that will give you a better idea (below).

1996 Chevy Lumina 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1996 Chevy Lumina APV Mini van, my computer was diagnost to have a bad computer because it sending a code to the alternator to keep charginging, and the voltage is riding high around 15.97 and 16.25 volts, where is the coputer located in the engine so i can order a pre programmed new computer from, Auto Computer Exchange.

Your vehicle's Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is located under the right side of the dash, behind the convenience center

1994 Chevy Lumina 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 191000 miles

Car just stopped. Will turn over but will not run. I do not have a manual but am told to try replacing the control module first. Need to know where to look for it.

just because it wont start doesnt mean any control module is bad!

does the engien crank?

if it cranks first thign to do is get checking out for spark on ALL cylinders note color of spark and speed of spark.

next check for fuel pressure.

I need to replace my PCM. Where is it located? To my understanding it is just simply removeing the old one and pluging in the new. Anything you might add. Thanks

On right side of engine compartment,forward of strut tower.

Have the new PCM flashed.
