if i change my transmission Fluid will it cause my transmission to act up?

I have not change the Fluid since i had the car the transmission is slow by changing when i check the Fluid it is over the Full mark and the Fluid smell burnt.

How long have you owned the car miles wise?Also sounds like the fluid needs to be changed from what you say.Also no one can predict what will happen when changing the fluid when you let it go without changing it too long.It could get better or worse.

So in 3yrs how many miles did you drive?Also did you ever check the fluid condition etc when you bought it?
