For some reason I am not getting full voltage from my battery to turn my 1997 Chevy 2500 over? The alternator is good, the battery is brand new. I seem to have lots of power in my battery however battery meter in my truck states around 9 volts. The ground wire was lose but this has been fixed. Still not enough to turn the truck over? any suggestions?

It's for a starter circuit, but the procedure is the same. Follow the smaller battery wires, one to the body and one to the fuse box. In the fuse box, also look for a bolted-in fuse that may be loose. You're looking for the first place where the voltage drops down from the normal 12.6 battery voltage.
