i have a chevy 1500 that wont start over. already changed the starer battery and ground wire what could be the cause?

im not workin on the truck my boyfriend is and he says he dont understand what the problem could be. he thinks its the hot lins on battery r a short some where but dont know

The circuit has to be systematically troubleshooted using the wiring diagram i gave you. You will probably need a mechanic with electrical experience to do it for you. Make sure he has tested all the fuses using a test light, especially the one marked "crank" in the dash fuse box.

ok he says no crank just clicks at starter.

If you are getting noises from the starter, then you either have a dead battery, bad cable connection or bad starter. I know you said you changed all that but those are the only possibilities.
