Hi.
I need to know how far the inner seal (rubber lined cup) goes onto the output shaft of the transmission. I can't find a spec for this anywhere. It is not covered in the Haynes Manual or on the Alldata website. I did manage to remove the old one without the use of the $288 GM tool, but I am not sure about reinstalling it. It gets pressed on and the old one was pressed in a little too far from what I could see.
The seal kit is GM Part # 24203910 (Photo 0005). I am working on the driver's side (photo 0004) shaft is still in tranny and supposedly not a stub shaft.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
