Hi

I have a BMW 316i Compact 1997 model. The car has a misfiring problem. We had a compression test done on the cylinders and it was between 90-105psi across the 4 cylinders. The battery was dead so I charged it, drove about 12 miles in total and then when I got back and cut the engine off, and tried to restart it the battery was dead. Ive been having to charge the battery every few days. It has had new spark plugs, ignition leads and radiator.

Check the alternator charge rate and get the battery load tested for condition.

Would this be causing the misfire as well then?

no, but we need to get the charging sorted first, get it running and charging then we can look at the other problems, but you can do a scan for any unresolved fault codes, do a full tune and check for vacuum leaks.
