After having the drivers side cv axle replaced my car doesn't turn the same. So paying closer attention I noticed when I turn right the wheels go back straight but the steering wheel doesn't until I turn the opposite direction. Once I turn the opposite direction the steering wheel stays that way also. If I hit a few bumps it eventually gets straight again. Is it possible to tighten then steering gear? Or does it indicate that something is broken and I might have to replace the R&P? Also it seems that the car is starting to wander more while driving.

if it wanders there may be a front end problem so have it checked. For the steering problem it cold be that the wrong axle was installed causing your no return problem as they are different lengths by about 3/4 " so have it rechecked.
