-How to remove the upper and lower a/c-heater control assembly in a 1996 toyota avalon xls.

A Knucklehead installed a Pioneer Stereo in my car and the A/C and Heater hasn't worked since. Checked fuses and found the #35 10a fuse blown. Replaced it and control buttons came on but with no blower, a/c or heater. Don't know if it is another fuse or he forgot to plug the control assembly back.

The only way to find out what's happening back there is take it apart and investigate the wiring/connectors

Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least 3 minutes for the SRS memory to drain.

Remove the instrument lower finish panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Removal & Installation in the Body Interior section.

Disconnect the instrument center cluster panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Removal & Installation in the Body Interior section.

If removing a manual A/C control panel, disconnect the water valve control cable and the air mix damper control cable. Refer to Control Cables, Removal & Installation.

Disconnect the control panel connector.

Remove the 4 screws and A/C control lower panel.

Remove the 4 screws and A/C control upper panel with the radio.
Remove the screws and the upper and lower control panels

Remove the 6 bolts and the A/C control upper panel from the radio.
