What am I really looking for when inspecting alternator and PS belts on car? Autozone video says new belts have V shaped grooves and completely used belts the grooves look U shaped. How can I use this knowledge to inspect my belts on car? Maybe I should get a new belt and compare them side by side using a flashlight? I guess I just answered this question. Thanks

From reading the manual, you don't need to change the belt till it's missing pieces of ribs or fraying.
