I have installed a new battery on my daughters 1996 Toyota 4runner and now the alarm will not go off and the car won't start. How to fix?

If you have the fob, use it to disarm with all doors closed.
If not, close all doors and use the key to lock/unlock and open the door.
If alarm continues to sound, insert key and turn to ON.
If you have an after market alarm system, look for a reset button and press it with key in on position.
