what should I do with transmission system(gear)?

The changing of (automatic)gear speed from 2 to 3 is not smooth, clattering. This occurs every time I accelerate the car. What could I do?
The DIY technique, no need to go to Saab shop, the repair shop near my house can fix this should be better. Thank you very much.

That means my car should be checked with OBDII, techII or equivalent? May I have more question? Could you tell some of the problems which have a chance to occur and their solutions to fix?
