climate control lights are flashing and then go out

96 pontiac bonneville heater control lights flash for about 1 min when car first turned on the stops flashing heat works fine a/c doesnt work, but hasnt worked in about 2 yrs flashing just started

When the flashing stops do they work?Also do any other lights flash?Do you have a old after market alarm installed some where in the car?
