check engine light came on and stays on. tech said the code was for evaporation malfunction. how and where do I look for problem. fuel cap passed an emissions check 1 month ago. tks

The code should be more specific than that. The EVAP system starts at the gas cap and runs to the engine via the fuel system. There are many components that can cause issus. Do you have the exact code that he got?
