How to replace water pump

Disconnect battery ground cable and drain cooling system.
On models with power steering , remove power steering pump and bracket leaving hoses connected, and secure pump aside.
Remove timing belt as outlined under Timing Belt .
Remove alternator brace and disconnect hoses from water pump.
Remove water pump bolts, noting length and position for installation reference, then the water pump, gasket and O-ring.
Reverse procedure to install, noting following:

Torque 28 mm pump bolts to 10 ft. lbs.
Torque 65 mm pump bolt to 17 ft. lbs.

Not an easy job for doing at home. you can cause a lot of damage with the timing belt if you have not done it before.
