Immobiliser - Clicker question

On my mitsubishi mirage, there is an immobiliser. I believe it was an aftermarket addition but i cant be sure. There is no documentation regarding it or its fitting, with my car. The clicker (remote) I have has no branding on it or anything. It has 3 buttons, with I, II, III on them. But only I does anything. The only thing I can find on the car regarding the immobiliser, its on the top steering column, in the centre, there is a small blue light. This indicated when the immobiliser is active.

I am worried that the battery is going to run out or i might lose the clicker and then id be screwed. Any advice? Picture of remote attached.

Universal remotes can be purchased. A mechanic can locate a professionally installed control module and determine brand and model number. As long as the battery is in good condition, the flashing LED won't cause it to drain, unless you leave the car for at least a week.

Buttons II and III probably open the trunk. sometimes they need to be held together, sometimes they need to be held for 3-5 seconds.

There is probably also a Panic mode and a locator mode that can be accessed with buttons II and III.

Look under the dash and in the trunk under and behind the carpet for the control module. It will have 2 or 3 connectors and a single wire leading upward from it. The wire is the antenna.

Also, once you determine the brand and model of alarm system you have, you can also contact that company and buy a new remote.
