Central locking issue

My 1996 Mirage X (2 door) central locking system does not work. I can lock each door individually and manually. When in the car and I press the lock switch on the door to lock it. I can hear an electrical switch (think its the servo) click, the same noise as it would when turning on the windscreen wipers. and I can hear a mechanical click near the slave door, however the door does not lock. It sounds like its trying to lock, but its just not reaching the slave door. I have checked the fuse box and there is no issue there. any ideas?

Remove the door panels and either reattach the actuator rods to the lock solenoids or replace the worn bushings. You may have to replace worn bushings even if the rods are not properly attached.

Possible the door lock control unit and the door actuator, also check the multi purpose fuse-

Hi, I took off the door panel to have a look and see if i could see anything wrong. But it seems the central locking motor etc, is down in the bottom left of the door (if looking at it from sitting in the car with the car door open), just beneath where the lock hits the car door frame. Its behind the framework of the door and cant see it, and not sure how to disconnect it. I found some screws on the outside frame of the door, one appears to hold the electric window guide, and the others held the actual door lock. I didnt want to go taking them off incase i couldnt get them back on. wat do you think?

If you can't see it clearly, a flashlight and mirror might help. You need to check to see if the solenoid is moving properly. Push and pull on the lock tab/button/shaft (the thing you see move when locking/unlocking the door), for comparison. If you can reach the lock rod from the solenoid, hold it while locking and unlocking the door with the key or the tab/button/etc and see if there is any play in the bushings connecting the rods.

Hey, I put my finger onto where the "lock" rod connects to the motor, and it does feel like its moving the arm connected to the motor. but it jst seems to me like the motor isnt moving it. Iv got a multimeter reader im gonna try and check the signal going to the central locking motor before i try taking the motor out. I think the motor has had it really.
