180SE Auto. When the motor is hot and switched off then left for a short while +- 10 minutes it will not start. Sometimes flooring it and cranking it continiously it may start. It smells as if it's flooded. If left to cool down a bit it starts no problem. When standing in traffic it also will randomly rev from idling +-800 to 2000rpm for a short while then settle back down to 800 again. Makes no difference if it's in drive or neutral. It will not do it if I have the bonnet open! I have tried to check the timing but cannot see the crank marks - no direct line of sight for the strobe light.
