I change the egr valve and I took the positive and negative wire off the battery and then the engine light came back on again so I went to autozone to reset the light again and it came back on what to do

re setting does nothing. the issue is still there.

what was the code number and why did you change it>>

a code never identifies bad parts, just failed systems
