Remove the fan and shroud. Remove the drive belt(s). Remove the water pump pulley and the crank pulley. Remove the front cover. Remove the bolt from the camshaft sprocket. Rotate the engine to line up the marks on the two sprockets. Remove the sprockets and chain. Reverse the process.

THIS TASK MAYBE A BIT INVOLVED

THIS IS WHAT I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TO ANYBODY. SORTA YOUR BUDDY, YOU CAN TRUST!

https://www.2carpros.com/questions/2007-ford-taurus-tune-up

I KNOW THAT DID NOT ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, BUT IT IS A GOOD THING TO HAVE AROUND.....I SEE LOTS OF IN DEPTH NUMBERED ANSWERS GO OUT, BUT WITHOUT PICS AND DIAGRAMS AND WARNINGS, CAUTIONS (AS IN A MANUAL) YOU COULD REALLY SCREW THINGS UP! WHAT'S $30, COMPARED TO.....WALKING! AND YOUR JEEPS WELFARE?

THE COOL THING IS, YOU GOT IT FOR NEXT TIME, IF SITTING ON THE ROADSIDE!....I KEEP ONE IN ALL OF OUR RIGS.

HERE'S ANOTHER SOURCE THAT MIGHT SHOW YOU THE INVOLVEMENT...REWORDING MY SEARCH MAY DEVELOP MORE INFO

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=HOW+TO+CHANGE+A+TIMING+BELT+ON+A+CHEROKEE&aq=f

IF I HAVEN'T MADE YOU MAD, I'M JUST CONCERNED THAT ONE LESS JEEP MIGHT NOT BE ON THE ROAD.

YOUR TURN
