Raise and support vehicle, then remove upper strut securing nuts. Do not remove center piston rod lock nut.
Remove lower strut mounting nut.
Remove strut assembly from vehicle and place in a suitable vise.
Using spring compressor tool No. HT71780000 or equivalent, compress spring so strut mounting insulator can be turned by hand.
Remove top piston rod lock nut and separate spring from strut assembly.
Reverse procedure to install. Tighten to specifications and check wheel alignment.
