Our Honda Ballade Luxline 1.5 automatic fuel injection has a misfire in drive only when running against compression runs Ok otherwise,no issue with other gear positions car is serviced regularly ie oil change new plugs and cam belt when necessary etc

it sound like you might have a transmission issue. are there any warning lights on? im leaning toward a transmission service if you've not had one done. check the fluid and it should be pink and clear and smell sweet. if its grayish or brown or darker, its a good idea for service. this is assuming that it idles fine and revs fine.

Thank you guys for the Tech Info,the car idle and rev's OK I think you have diagnosed spot on the Auto transmission oil is darkish with a burnt smell

its something best done at a shop. its unsafe to get under the car without the proper equipment. otherwise just remove the pan and drain out the fluid, cooled down of course, its going to be messy! change the filter and then put the new filter in, pan and gasket on, refill with ATF> don't over fill.
