replace heater hose

When replacing the hose underneath the distributor in a 96 accord v6. Is it ok to remove the whole distributor to get to it? And just replace the 3 bolts when
your done

If you're referring to the 3 bolts in the distributor cap, then no, there is no adjustment required but if you remove the entire distributor, the timing will have to be reset.

Apologies if I seem to be rushing, I am waiting on a response for my question. To replace the hose underneath the distributor is it okay to remove the whole distributor (3 bolts) and replace it without making adjustments? Never done it before. Clueless.

Removing the 3 bolts does not take it off? What do you mean whole distributor if not the 3 bolts? I'm talking about black cap and metal housing together. Not taking off the black cap.

That would be the whole distributor and yes, the timing would have to be reset unless you could mark the current position very carefully first.
