1996 Honda Accord Reciever dryer

YOU BUY THE FREON AND OIL CHARGE IN THE CANS AT THE PARTS STORE.BUT 1 CAN WILL OVER FILL IT.I WOULD DRAIN THE USED COMPRESSOR. THEN BUY CONTAINER OF A/C OIL AND REFILL THE COMPRESSOR UNTIL IT DRIPS BACK OUT.THEN BALL UP PARTS OF A GARBAGE BAG TO SEAL THE BACK OF THE COMPRESSOR SO NONE OF THE OIL SPILLS OUT DURING INSTALLATION. MAKE SURE THE COMPRESSOR IS SITTING THE SAME WAY IT DOES IN THE CAR BEFORE REFILLING.YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO REPLACE THE OREFISS TUBE FILTER. IT'S ON THE SMALL LINE AT THE EVAPORATOR.DISCONNECT THE CONNECTION THEIR AND THE FILTER SHOULD BE INSIDE THE EVAPORATOR.LOOK AT THE PICTURE IN THE PARTS STORE THEY CAN SHOW YOU THE LOCATION ALSO.

I THINK U NEED TO REMOVE THE GRILL TO GET AT THE DRYER. ALSO LOOK ON THE DIAGRAM ON THE PARTS COMPUTER FOR THIS INFO.

As far as the oil goes if you dont get atleast 2 ozs of oil out of the compressor then you add 2 ozs to the compressor. Otherwise you would add the same amount of oil you got out of the compressor if it was over 2ozs of oil out of the compressor. You would add 1oz of oil for replacing the drier.Its just because you loose about 1 oz of oil from replacing the drier.You could add it to the compressor and it would find its way into the system.As far as the drier the repair information I have it says remove parts as necessary to replace drier.Also you always want to pull the system under a vacuum before charging the system. It will help get the moisture out of the system since you opened the system when you replaced the compressor and drier.Its best to do atleast a 15min vacuum or longer.
