How do I remove the steering wheel?

I have a 1996 sierra and the key cylinder got stuck it won't even turn. So I decided to go ahead and remove the key cylinder housing,, I've already taken the airbag and steering wheel off, but then I hit some a part that i don't know how to remove, I took some pictures,, hope somebody can help me.... thanks
