Trouble code p1345 did tune up still have problems

have 1996 gmc pickup sierra 2500 4x4, 5.7 liter. Trouble code p1345. Mechanic replaced distributor, crankshaft sensor, plug wires, coil, battery. Same problem. Misfires badly when rainy/humid. Run better after engine is hot or parked hot for awhile.

did he check the timing chain for deflection??

I doubt it, but would damp weather affect that. The problem goes away when the engine has run hot for awhile, or when the weather is hotter and dry.

ok, how about the coolant sensor?? this will effect fuel mixture according to temperature.

Was wondering if the wiring,etc. between the cam sensor and crankshaft sensor could be going bad since it is affected by rain and high humidity so much.

Doubt if coolant sensor was checked. P1345 code was for crankshaft position/camshaft position correlation fault, so I think they were concentrating on those two areas.

how do I ohm it out. Are they directly connected or is there something between them?

you need to see the color wires for the sensors back at the pcm. you connect one lead at the pcm and the other at the sensor and make sure you have a reading.
